5 Fail Safe Second Date Ideas

So the first date went well and you’ve secured yourself a second, nice work! It’s not over yet though, you need to make the second date just as engaging and memorable as the first. Don’t be a one trick pony, read on for some second date ideas to keep your date interested and the spark alive.

1. SEE A LOCAL BAND

Cast your memory back to that first date, surely at some point the topic of conversation fell upon musical tastes? Call upon this information and check local listings, take your date to see a local band at a small venue. The drinks will be cheaper and usually the place won’t be packed out, giving you room to breathe and bond properly with your date.

2. CHECK OUT A SPORTING EVENT

If your first date yielded more information about favorite sports teams rather than musical artists then a sporting event might be more suitable. Showing an interest in their hobbies is a sure-fire way to making the date special and memorable. You might even have an interest in the sport yourself which is even better, a common hobby is the ultimate bonding tool.

3. MAKE PIZZA

It’s not difficult or expensive so try your hand at making a couple of pizzas. Thin crust is easier than deep dish so get throwing and create your own. Of course if things go terribly wrong there’s always takeaway..

4. TAKE A BREWERY OR VINEYARD TOUR

Seeing how something’s made and following it up with a little sampling, what could be more fun? A shared learning experience will give you lots to talk about and get a little tipsy in the process.

5. VISIT A CHOCOLATE FACTORY

If you’d rather avoid alcohol on your second date then replace it with chocolate! Factories often offer tours and samples, so if your dates got a sweet tooth – go for a trip to a chocolate factory! Golden ticket not required.
